Our History

Rainbow Garden School was first established as a certified childcare group home in 1997.  It has served as a preschool and childcare facility for 15 years in the home of director Kim McLaughlin on Pierce Street in West Eugene. After many years of success and community building her vision has blossomed to expand to offer care to a wider range of ages and the ability to offer a more comprehensive and holistic education to youth.  Her vision to make nutrition, sustainability, and early intervention the forefront of the philosophy of the school has resonated with the values of many families in our community and beyond.

Rainbow Garden School has specialized in offering creative arts, gardening, and multicultural programs.  It will continue to offer these, but will now have the ability to grow to offer theatrical arts, physical education, and outdoor programs as well.

In August of 2012, Kim expanded her program and opened a State Certified Center.  The Fox Hollow program broadens the services Rainbow Garden can offer.  We can now server a broader age range, a broader educational service, and broader community based program for families in general.
